FSC

Products carrying the FSC label are independently certified to assure customers that they come from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an independent, non-governmental, not for profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world’s forests.

Océ was one of the first companies to support this initiative and has been FSC Chain of Custody certified since 2006. The FSC certification program is active throughout the Océ organization. The company has produced a FSC manual that documents the procedures that should be followed according to the rules of the FSC. These procedures are audited by Scientific Certification Systems (SCS). If the procedures that are implemented meet the Chain of Custody Certificates requirements, the petitioning organization will receive a certificate. In 2011, Océ UK, Océ Austria and Océ France have received a FSC Chain of Custody certification. The Océ Business Group Imaging Supplies at Océ headquarters in Venlo, Océ Netherlands, Océ Iberia, Océ Germany, Océ Belgium are also certified. The Océ operating company Italy is working towards gaining FSC accreditation in 2012.
