Manufacturing and logistics

A limited number of materials, such as toners, photoconductors, silicone materials, printheads, process drums and LED arrays, are manufactured in Venlo and Poing for strategic reasons. The great majority of hardware components, parts, modules and peripherals are sourced from selected suppliers and assembled by Océ or contract manufacturers. Most of the suppliers are located near the production facilities in the Netherlands, Germany and the Czech Republic, or near the contract manufacturers’ sites in Malaysia and Singapore. A number of them have also been involved as co-developers for parts or modules of Océ products, thus considerably shortening time-to-market. As well as adding flexibility in manufacturing, these close relationships with suppliers provide transparency in product quality and production. This means that Océ can always take full responsibility for the quality and safety of its products.
