Océ VarioPrint 6000 Ultra line
The Océ VarioPrint 6000 Ultra line printers have been designed to minimize environmental impact in every respect. Because they simultaneously print both sides of the paper, they use far less energy – around 45 percent less in operating mode than one of their main competitors. Power consumption of the Océ VarioPrint 6320 is approximately 35 percent below requirements of the US Energy Star program for energy-efficient products and practices. Lower energy consumption in turn means reduced heat emissions. As a result, the Océ VarioPrint 6000 Ultra line have lower cooling and air conditioning demands than their main competitors, which translates into further significant savings in both initial and operating costs.
The Océ VarioPrint 6000 Ultra line use monocomponent toner and an organic photoconductor, with no developer and no silicon fuser oil. As well as these environmental benefits, toner transfer by direct press means there is no wastage of toner, and no need for an internal cleaning system. Other systems require well functioning air filters, or alternatively working areas have to be provided with special ventilation equipment. Investments like these can often be reduced in complete safety when using Océ VarioPrint 6000 Ultra line printers. The self-developing toner means less mess, no toner residues on documents and energy-saving low-temperature fusing. There is no developer to dispose of, so document production is inherently more environment friendly. Finally, ozone emissions are much lower, because Gemini requires only two coronas compared with four or eight in printers using traditional xerography. In addition to this, Océ uses highly effective ozone filters.
