Open innovation

For some years now a transition has been taking place toward a new R&D model, in which there is explicit room for partners that add scale and innovative strength. In the past, innovation was largely an inside-out process, using our own-developed knowledge. Today, innovation is largely outside-in. This open innovation model enables Océ to supplement its own unique strengths by making use of the innovative capacity of its partners. Conversely, the know-how and technology that Océ possesses also makes it attractive for third parties to develop new products in partnership with Océ.
