Océ portfolio geared to market segments

“Parallel to drupa we introduced great new products and technologies,” points out Sebastian Landesberger, Executive Vice President Commercial Printing. “Now it’s time to show our customers and visitors to the drupa Follow-up Event the added value of Océ end-to-end solutions in different market segments. They can share experiences and capitalize on this digital high-speed printing opportunity.”

Océ unveils industry´s fastest liquid toner technology focused on packaging

The Océ InfiniStream technology matches offset in terms of quality, productivity and media versatility, while adding digital flexibility. The technology is based on highly mobile, uniform colorants and a heatless wet-in-wet image transfer. Both core innovations result in high productivity, top print quality and enhanced cost-effectiveness. A completely new digital liquid toner press architecture has been developed based on the proven offset system geometry – inking system, imaging cylinder and rubber-coated blanket cylinder – that enables variable imaging on all coated and uncoated offset standard papers with the look and feel of offset printouts. The modular print tower concept enables speeds of up to 120 m/min with a 28-inch (711 mm) wide web, resulting in up to 14,400 B2 sheets or 7,200 B1 sheets per hour. Due to seamless printing cylinders and a real-time imaging process, the press enables fully variable format lengths including 70 x 100 cm or B1 sheet sizes.

Strategic alliance milestone achieved

The evolving alliance with manroland web systems has already resulted in a book and signatures postprocessing solution with the Océ JetStream® 4300 mono. With its high degree of automation and end-to-end central JDF/JMF based controller, the system offers productivity and ease of use.
